KILLING THE BUDDHA: A HERETIC’S BIBLE

The “Tent Revival” book tour is coming to a city near you!

Peter Manseau and Jeff Sharlet spent an incredible year on the road meeting the many gods of America and the people who worship them: gangbangers tattooing their devotion onto their skins, cowboys offering up crippled calves, storm chasers searching for signs in tornados. With the publication of their book, Manseau and Sharlet are setting out on the road again on a literary tent revival tour in January and February 2004. Rather than simply thumping their bible, Manseau and Sharlet give life to their tales of heresy and belief, collaborating in performance as they did in writing, and, depending on the venue, bringing in live music and visual elements. Manseau and Sharlet are experienced performers who have presented their work in famed literary venues such as the KGB Bar in New York City and on college campuses around the country.
